1964 Born in Saarbrücken. 1983–1991 Art Education, Art History and History studies at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, the University of Stuttgart and the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design. 1991–1993 Postgraduate study of free sculpture with Prof Jürgen Brodwolf at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design. 1986 Salzburg scholarship from the city of Mainz. 1994 Paris Scholarship from the Franco-German Youth Office and 1995 the Baden-Württemberg Art Foundation. 2004 11th Marler Videokunst Preis, special award. 2007 Cité Internationale des Arts Paris. Scholarship from the state of Baden-Württemberg. 2104 Interim professor at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. Since 2015 Professor at BURG, Design Faculty. 2017 to 2022 Dean of the Design Faculty. Since 2022 Rector of BURG.
