3D Paste Printing Workshop
MAKE. invited ceramics artist Jonathan Keep (UK) for a three day workshop to explore alternative materials for 3D printing. The workshop started with creating our own self-built 3D printer from the directions of Jonathan Keep's website and using clay as a printing material. The project continues with 3D printing paste materials such as sugar frosting, sugar sticks, cookie dough, wood starch, silicone, and wax. The workshop took place during the Wintersession 2014, the development of the process (3D printing) and materials (paste substances) are being continued at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle.
