1951 Born in Leipzig. 1969 Abitur and tradesman’s certificate as an offset printer. 1971–1976 Academy of Visual Arts, Leipzig, Degree in free Graphics/Painting. 1977/78 Master student with Stanisław Fiałkowski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lódz/Poland. 1979–1992 Assistant at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, specialist subjects: graphics and painting. Since 1992 Professor at BURG, Art Faculty. Since 1976 Freelancer in the fields of public art, concept development, consulting, free graphics, illustration, cartoons and animated films. Solo and group exhibitions in Dresden, Erfurt, Halle, Hanover, Leipzig, Kassel, Mainz, Trier, Basel, Brussels, Krems, Seoul/South Korea, etc. Since 1978, regular participation in the Biennale – later the Triennale – for Satirical Drawing in Greiz.
