Personal perceptions, experiences, age, the zeitgeist and various cultural circles inﬂuence our relationship to forms, colours and materials. Everything we see and touch obtains its form thanks to material. We interpret materiality and formal quality through scientiﬁc mediation and practical treatment.
Sensibility develops by doing – by observing, feeling, smelling, and by trying out, comparing and combining. As far as the learning experience is concerned, this means working within the conﬂicting ﬁelds of exact examination and free fabrication, between conscious observation and the creative exploration of materials, forms, and processes.
