+++ Current changes will be published here continuously +++

(As of 15.11.2021) Please note the following current regulations:

  • Studies in the winter semester 2021/22 are to be conducted with the greatest possible attendance on site. For the face-to-face studies the so-called 3G-regulation applies: an access to the properties and buildings is only allowed for fully vaccinated, recovered and negatively tested persons. Proof of status must be carried digitally or printed.
  • Only fully vaccinated, recovered, and negatively tested individuals may also participate in associated formats such as academic self-governance committee meetings and having meals or staying in the cafeteria. Proof of status must be carried digitally or printed.
  • Lecture rooms, seminar rooms, group work rooms, etc. are equipped with a QR code. This must be scanned before an attendance event. Registration confirms compliance with the 3G rule.
  • Information on testing opportunities in Halle can be found here: Halle (Saale) - Händelstadt: Information on testing opportunities.
  • There is a limited offering of supervised self-testing at BURG. Only limited capacities of about 30 testings per day are available. Therefore, please give priority to using the testing facilities in town. The testing station is located at the Central Workshops and opens Monday till Friday from 7.30 to 9 a.m.
  • The mask requirement remains in place for traffic routes in buildings and in sanitary areas. In addition, masks are mandatory in face-to-face teaching areas if the minimum distance cannot be maintained.
  • There is no longer a restriction on the number of people in rooms, and the cohort requirement has been removed.
  • Distance regulations are to be followed in waiting and standing areas (e.g. queuing in front of the cafeteria) and, as far as possible, indoors and outdoors.
  • In the event of a positive case in a study or work group, the group (all, including those vaccinated and recovered) will self-test for 14 days.
  • The regulations are to be applied accordingly for events including all projects outside the BURG.
  • Both the decentralized and central workshops as well as the print shop are open to all students. The library is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the open access area is also accessible again.
  • The Mensa Neuwerk at the Design Campus is open, meals can also be eaten on site. The cafeteria at the Art Campus is currently closed.
  • You can reach the staff of the Student Information Center by phone and email. If there is a special need, appointments can be made on site.
  • At the BURG an offer of the university sports is currently being worked out. Unfortunately, the fitness room must remain closed.
  • Home office will continue to be made possible after consultation with the supervisors.
  • All information as well as detailed regulations can be found in the general ruling.

Access to the properties is generally excluded if:

  • you are experiencing recognizable symptoms of COVID-19 disease or any respiratory or cold symptoms (regardless of severity) and they have not been evaluated by a physician.
  • you are quarantined or expect to be quarantined.
  • you are infected with COVID-19.
  • you have had contact with persons infected with the Corona virus within the last 14 days.- You are a suspected case and the test result is not yet available.
  • you are living with a quarantined person and do not have a waiver for entry.

For questions about university acess in these cases, please contact corona-post(at)  burg-halle.  de.
