1953 Born in Bad Salzungen. 1972–1978 Industrial Design studies at the University for Industrial Design Halle – Burg Giebichenstein, specialist subjects: surface and graphics. 1978 Degree. 1978–1980 Second course in Painting there. 1980–1988 Freelance painter and graphic artist in Weimar. 1988–1992 Teacher and artistic assistant at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. 1993–2018 Professor at BURG, Art Faculty. 2011 Art Award of the state of Saxony-Anhalt. 2018 Solo and group exhibitions in Bernau, Dresden, Halle, etc. 2018 retirement from university teaching.
