The training was led by Lisa Runkehl, dyeing expert and head of the dyeing workshop at BURG University. In addition, research associate Henning Frančik of BURG University's SustainLab gave a presentation on sustainable practices with a focus on the risks to the environment (with a focus on wastewater and soils) caused by the overuse of chemicals in dyeing. The event was complemented by contributions on the presentation of test results related to limits for textile standards, as well as small insights into research results focusing on criteria that can be taken into account when buying quality dyeing products. The workshop ended with a question and answer session where the participants had the opportunity to talk to the experts.

In addition, it was explained how the quality of the dyeing can be increased with regard to various fastnesses by following certain mechanisms and procedures during the dyeing process. Furthermore, it was described how to calculate precisely and how to weigh the various substances. The handling is also explained in the video and should help you to document all steps and quantities as accurately as possible.
