ELIA Spotlight Session: A Borderless Future for Teachers of the Arts

Die Spotlight Session findet online statt und lädt Lehrende und Studierende aller ELIA-Mitgliedshochschulen ein, sich über folgende Fragen auszutauschen: Is it important that teachers of the arts across disciplines have an international experience? Should ELIA and its members support arts teachers’ mobility during their initial training or throughout lifelong learning programmes?

The Arts in Education Platform will meet to examine ways of enhancing art teachers’ professional qualifications, through advocating for a new European system. The idea being that this system would recognise intercultural learning and mobility without compromising existing internationalisation processes or career paths in teachers’ respective countries.

This online spotlight session will question if such a system could act as an instrumental tool for the development of a truly European arts education area, promoting international collaboration, knowledge exchange, and professional growth.

We are calling all arts education professionals, and teachers in training keen to explore the possibilities of borderless future for teachers of the arts. Join this interactive session with presentations and breakouts, which aims to tease apart the complexities of these issues, find common ground and map positive ways forward together.
