Box of chocolates

The box to eat up

The idea was to develop a sustainable alternative for the inside of a box of chocolates. The conventional plastic liner is replaced by a material that is both environmentally friendly and edible. This material consists of a mixture of agar, a material derived from algae, and marzipan, a combination that is suitable for rotational moulding and contains typical ingredients from the world of chocolates, resulting in packaging that not only protects the chocolates but can also be eaten. This eliminates the need to inconveniently remove plastic from the sweets, making them easier to enjoy and more sustainable.
