Rode Wireless Go II

Wireless microphone set including 2 microphones and a receiver.

For what?

  • They are ideal for capturing high-quality audio during lectures, documentaries, video conferences and hybrid events.
  • Speakers can move freely without affecting the sound quality. The sound source and recording device can be located in different places.
  • It is possible to record using two microphones at the same time. The recordings from the two microphones can be saved as two separate audio tracks which can be combined during post-production.

Tips

  • Always ensure the devices are fully charged before use. Ideally, charge them the day before.
  • The receiver is identical to the microphones, except for its display. They can be easily confused.
  • The maximum distance between the receiver and microphone is 200 metres. Obstacles such as walls, trees or people can affect signal quality.
  • The microphones can be clipped on or held in the hand.
  • Since the microphones are square, the attachable fur helps speakers to know where to speak into the microphone. Attach the fur to the microphones by turning them halfway.
  • Always attach the fur cover to the microphones when recording outdoors.
  • For audience questions, pass the microphone around (note line of sight and distance).
  • A compact setup for hybrid small group formats is created by combining the microphone with the Meeting Owl (as a camera only).
  • The RodeCentral app allows you to record on the microphone without connecting to a device
  • A special adapter (Rode Sc6) and a TRS-to-TRSS cable (Rode sc7) are required for the use with a smartphone or tablet.
