1950 Born in Zwickau. 1970–1975 Industrial Design course at the University for Industrial Design Halle – Burg Giebichenstein. 1977–1982 Assistant there. 1982–1984 Consultant and teacher at the National Office for Industrial Design in Havana/Cuba. Since 1984 Teaching and research at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. 1996 Lectureship there. 2006–2015 Professor at BURG, Design Faculty.
