According to current knowledge, sufficiency is necessary to limit the ecological damage caused by our consumption. A sharing economy that is based on actual needs and uses available resources sensibly would be helpful for sufficient consumption (i.e. less consumption). In this text it is assumed that Libraries of Things are suitable and have great potential to make renting attractive, so that more people will choose it. It also investigates when and why consumers consciously or unconsciously are seduced to buy something. These criteria, which determine our buying behavior, are compared with existing Libraries of Things and libraries in order to be able to develop new approaches and concepts for Libraries of Things. It is outlined which possibilities the methods of design offer for further investigation.
