MIMI

Babies need up to 18 hours of sleep a day to grow and be healthy. By falling asleep, the mind changes into a state of altered consciousness and sensory activity is inhibited. It is a moment of body vulnerability, sometimes of shared intimacy between baby and parents. While the cradle MIMI swings, the rocking sets a music box in motion. The sound resonates over the wood surrounding the baby. The movement of the cradle can be controlled by human action or by the weight attached to the gear.
