The beach hat made of algae can be folded at the star-shaped grooves. Whether laid flat or rolled up, it fits perfectly in any bag. Material: Algae
To match the beach hat, the original cellulose pulp has been replaced by seaweed. This means that the beach hat can be forgotten and the material from the sea is returned to its place of origin. Another advantage is that the closure is made from the same material and in the same shape. As no material other than water is used in the pulping process, the hat is completely compostable and decomposes in the sea. The faster growth of algae compared to trees also means that less land is potentially required for cultivation. The use of algae in fiber injection molding therefore represents an ecological alternative to the established process. In addition, the pulp process is easy to adopt with just a few adjustments.
