Cutting plus a design journey
In this project, we explored the design and development of cutting tools such as scissors and knives.
What initially appeared to be a task of low complexity proved to be deceptively challenging: core aspects of ergonomics, iterative model-making, and progressively complex visualization techniques were just as central to the project as work organization, presentation methods, and project documentation.
By the end of the term, each student had designed, developed, and realized their own unique ensemble of cutting tools across various model stages.
