Das magazinartige Buch umkreist einen Gegenstand, den wir bis zuletzt nicht zu fassen bekommen – er erscheint auf Schwarzweißfotografien, als Text, als haptische Form auf dem tiefgezogenen Cover aus transparenter PVC-Folie. Allmählich wird deutlich, dass dieses Kreisen und Tasten auf der Suche nach Bedeutung der eigentliche Gegenstand ist – und dass es sich bei dieser Suche um keine geistige, sondern vor allem um eine körperliche Erfahrung handelt; dass Bedeutung Bewegung und Berührung bedarf. Konsequenterweise begegnen wir dem Titel der Arbeit so auch erst auf seiner Rückseite.

The magazine-like book revolves around an object that eludes our grasp – it appears in black-and-white photographs, as text, and in the void of the soft, vacuum-formed transparent PVC cover. Gradually, we understand that this circling and touching of one’s way in search of meaning is itself the object in question – and that this search is not an intellectual one but above all a physical experience. Meaning, it suggests, depends on movement and touch. Fittingly, the book’s title is only revealed once we reach its back cover.
