Die Prägung auf der Schachtel verrät uns, dass sie das Gedicht »Noch bist du da« von Rose Ausländer enthält. Öffnen wir sie, finden wir es, im Handsatz gedruckt, auf den Innenseiten. Es ist gleichzeitig Feier des Augenblicks und Memento Mori. Bald ist noch nicht jetzt. Was also tun? Lea lädt uns zum spielerischen Erkunden ihres Tunnelbuchs ein. Wie ein Akkordeon sind seine acht mit einem zarten Muster bedruckten Seiten links und rechts durch einen Leporellofalz verbunden. Die aus ihnen ausgeschnittenen organischen Formen verjüngen sich nach hinten. Während wir das Objekt drehen und wenden, wird ganz unmittelbar begreiflich, dass wir immer nur vom Hier und Jetzt aus in die Tiefe des Raums und in die Zukunft blicken können.

The embossed title on the box tells us that it contains Rose Ausländer’s poem »Noch bist du da« (You’re here, still). When we open the two cover flaps, we encounter the letterpress-printed poem on their inner sides. The poem is at once a celebration of the present moment and a memento mori. Soon is not now, it reminds us. So what to do, how to act? On this note, Lea invites us to playfully engage with her tunnel book. Resembling an accordion, its eight delicately patterned pages are held together on both sides by concertina folds. The organic shapes cut out of them grow gradually smaller towards the back, forming funnel-like spaces. As we turn the object this way and that, we intuitively understand that we can only ever look into the depths of space – and into the future – from where we stand now.
