1956 Born in Neuwied. 1976–1983 Fine Arts studies at Berlin University of the Arts. Master student with Prof Marwan. Organ studies with Oda Jürgens. 1983–1985 Atelier in Paris. 1985 Talent Award of the Association of Arts and Culture at the Federation of German Industries. 1986–2006 Atelier in Berlin. 1992 Graphics award ‘Linocuts today’ (Linolschnitt heute) from the city of Bietigheim-Bissingen. 1996–1999 Teacher of painting at Berlin University of the Arts. 1999 Professor at BURG, Art Faculty. 2004 Art Award of Ilse-Augustin-Stiftung Berlin. Since 2007 Atelier in Caputh. 2016 left the university.
