What exactly is a connector? And how am I supposed to create one myself, if none of the countless different combinations with objects and materials surrounding me spark any interest, let alone inspiration? Instead of exploring complex but essentially meaningless mechanisms, I tried to approach my project from another angle, focusing not on function or application, but on the connector as an independent object. This has allowed me to be experimental and intuitive in my working methods as well as in the process, during which testing the limits of material, object properties and the task at hand has taken on a central role.
