Workshop about Mini-Bio-Machines with Andi Wagner
14.-17.04.2025, Halle (DE)
In the third week, Andi Wagner held a workshop with the aim of producing small machines and devices that incorporate or utilise biological processes. In addition to presenting basic mechanical principles from, for example, the website 507movements.com, a previously developed embossing machine and a dip moulding machine were presented. These showed how simple 3D-printed parts and an electric motor can be used to quickly sketch production steps or movements and implement them as prototypes.
A collection of 3D-printed parts and aluminium profiles brought along by the participants made it easier to get started with the task. This small collection of parts was expanded by the students over the course of the semester.
