Connecting element for screwdrivers in three directions

My first idea was to develop a joint that can be assembled in three different directions. However, the design could not be moulded with the alginate because the model was too delicate in some parts. That’s why I wanted to create a different concept. The inspiration for this came from a wooden connection called kawai tsugite.
I created this joint from wood, Fimo and modelling clay. But none of these materials could be worked smoothly enough. The surface of my model was too rough when cast with alginate.
That’s why I made my positive model from an eraser. Unfortunately, I could no longer produce a rotated cast.
My final product uses the connecting element for screwdrivers. You can use it for inaccessible screws that you can’t reach with a normal screwdriver.
