Im Projekt »Porcelain Playground« ging es um Porzellan und den Prozess, der diese weiße Masse in Form bringt. Prozesse in der Herstellung, Prozesse im Ablauf, Prozesse im Verstehen und Vermitteln. Es ging um das Werkzeug, das die weiße Masse in Form bringt, sowie um kleine und große Interventionen im Herstellungsprozess.
Nach einer intensiven Auseinandersetzung mit handwerklichen, manufakturellen und seriellen Herstellungsprozessen wurde das erworbene Wissen hinterfragt und neu aufgesetzt, um daraus innovative Ansätze für den Umgang mit dem Material abzuleiten. Entstanden sind Entwürfe für Werkzeuge und Abläufe, die den Versuch unternehmen, Porzellan auf experimentelle Weise in Form und Gestalt zu bringen.

Porcelain Playground explored porcelain and the processes that shape its white mass. Production processes, workflow processes, essential processes for understanding and communicating – the project examined the tools that shape the white mass and delved into small and large interventions in the production process.
After an intensive exploration of handcrafted, factory and serial production processes, the students questioned and reapplied their acquired knowledge in order to derive innovative approaches to working with the material. This approach yielded prototypes of tools and processes that seek to shape and form porcelain in experimental ways.
