Software for exporting print files for the clay printer
- Cura
Cura is free, open-source software that acts as a ‘slicer’. It prepares a 3D model for printing by converting it into instructions (G-code) that a 3D printer can understand. It uses a 3D model file, such as an STL file, and divides it into thin, horizontal layers that can be previewed before printing. This file is then transferred to an SD card, which is inserted into the clayprinter.
