Visit of Dutch Design Week

We went to the Dutch Design Week 2023 in Eindhoven, where we wanted to get inspired for our own project, but also to see what other designers deal with and how they work.
On Monday we arrived around noon. On site we treated ourselves to a portion of fries at Piet Hein Eek to regain strength after our long car ride, immediatly after we took a look at the exhibition at Strijp-T+R. Since the exhibition closes at 6 pm, our group split up to see what interested them, some went to the area Streijp-S to look at the exhibition in the Microlab, others went to Evuluon. Tuesday we started with the German Design Graduates exhibition in the Klokgebouw, where we got a guided tour by Karl Schinkel, Björn Naumann and Friedrich Gerlach. Apart from the GDG exhibition there was a lot to see in the Klokgebouw, three huge exhibition halls were filled with wide range of projects by companies, students and designers. Afterwards we went to the Graduation Show 2023 by the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Huevel shopping center. At this exhibition the works of the bachelor and master graduates of the DAE are shown. No two projects are alike, from material experiments to design research, everything could be found here. We started Wednesday in Sectie-C, here we were able to get an insight into the workshops and studios of various designers. Unfortunately we got caught by rain, which took our momentum, so the last day at DDW was a bit
shorter.
The evenings we spent in a beautiful house, 30 minutes away from Eindhoven. Here we cooked every evening together and talked about what we got to see over the day, there was also a sauna in which we got to relax, so we could dedicate ourselves to the DDW on the following day.
