About the colour changes of textiles influenced by sunlight

A central challenge of the textile industry is the lightfastness of colours. Industrial parameters dominate the understanding of quality. But these are often paradoxical when considering the actual use of a product. Natural colours are alive. They fade, they change, sometimes they even disappear. Thus unsuitable for the industry, even though we are more familiar with changing colours than we are with constant ones. It is in this instability that I see quality. In addition, the wear and tear and the individual use of the wearer are made visible. This results in having a deeper relationship with the product, which leads to a more conscious and appreciative approach, especially in the area of fast fashion.
