SUNNET

Textile façade design through flexible solarnets

Countless square meters of façade remain unused when it comes to solar energy. But what if solar cells would shape the design of the façade, dress it, decorate it?
“SUNNET” gives an answer: from tiny solar beads* and conductive yarns unique “solar garments” for façades are created. The technology of warp knitting enables high stability and an unrestricted arrangement, which can serve as a novel façade design. Simplistic or as a consciously stylistic device, it offers a wide range of variations. Through various attachment options of the modular nets, old buildings can be energetically upgraded and new buildings can benefit from even changeable façades.
