Roofs and façades in Germany bear the potential for the installation of solar energy systems capable of generating 1.4 GW, according to Fraunhofer ISE. But how do we use this potential, if more than 50 percent of the population in Germany lives in rented flats and does not have the possibility to install solar energy systems on their roofs? 
“Filou” is the first solar cell series designed particularly for tenants. It gives tenants the opportunity to manifest their climate position, to help shape the energy revolution and even to save money. It combines status symbol and a homelike ambience with thought out installation options that make the installation a no brainer.
