1957 Born in Überlingen, Bodensee. 1977–1979 German and History Studies at the University of Konstanz. 1979–1985 Sculpture studies at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design. 1985/86 and 1988/89 Teacher of sculpture there. Since 2003 Professor at BURG, Art Faculty, in the Metal/Sculpture discipline. 2006–2010 Pro-rector. Since 2018 Dean of the Art Faculty.
2015 Hans-Thoma Prize of the state of Baden-Württemberg for life’s work. Solo and group exhibitions. Public art projects in Heidelberg, Freiburg, Ulm, and so on.
