Public standing and seating furniture

The objects complement the standardized traffic bollards in red and white to create standing and seating furniture. The simple plug-in principle turns the bollard into a leg for a standing table with a height of 110 cm or a seat with a height of 70 cm. The shape of the table is mirrored in the seat. With the playful mushroom shape in light shades, the objects clearly stand out from the typical traffic colors and shapes, so that the appropriation of public space becomes visible.
Where cars are denied access, the space should invite people to linger and be opened up for encounters. The two objects are exemplary of a series that manipulates standardized structures as an intervention in the city and in road traffic.
