SPRINT: Floater

Active sitting

In Sprint 1, we are working on designing a stool with a springy element. We experiment with shapes and sizes of EPS to make the type of suspension tangible in different ways. The filling quantity of water also plays a role. The large model is on a scale of 1:3, the small model is on a scale of 1:4. We used glass cylinders for the models, in production this is made of transparent acrylic glass.
Our stools can support up to 30 kg. To make this seating experience tangible for adults, it would need a surface area of 150 cm x 45 cm x 50 cm.
