Jour Fixe: Medienkünstlerin Anna Manankina zu Gast
Am Dienstag, 3. Mai 2022, 18 Uhr, wird die Medienkünstlerin Anna Manankina zu Gast beim Jour Fixe der BURG sein. Ort: Raum 103/104, Villa, Campus Design, Neuwerk 7.

On tuesday, 3 May 2022, 6 pm we welcome the interdisciplinary media artist Anna Manankina as our guest, accompanied by Dr. Nike Baetzner, professor of history of art at the BURG.
Anna Manankina is an interdisciplinary media artist from Kharkiv, working in the field of digital technologies with video, VR and AR, installation, sound, 3D-animation, printing, and with an emphasis on posthumanism and the feminist practice.
In her artistic statements, she covers a wide range of issues: from geopolitical situations and power structures to purely intimate spheres of life. Her work addresses the topic of violence and gender identity, the position of women in an artistic and social context.
Born in 1995, she studied at the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts from 2017 to 2020. Manankina was a finalist in the Exter cultural exchange program sponsored by the Ukrainian Institute. She was also a scholarship holder of the Gaude Polonia program 2021 of the Polish National Cultural Center and took part in the 19th Media Art Biennale WRO 2021 in Wroclaw, Poland. She also worked on projects with the group of curators of the Kharkiv City Gallery. Manankina has worked with institutions in Slovakia, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania.
The Jour Fixe will take place in room 103/104 Villa, Neuwerk at 6 p.m. in English.

Im Jour Fixe am Dienstag 3. Mai 2022, um 18 Uhr, begrüßen wir Anna Manankina als unseren Gast, begleitet von Dr. Nike Baetzner, Professorin für Kunstgeschichte an der BURG.
Anna Manankina ist eine interdisziplinäre Medienkünstlerin aus Charkiw, die im Bereich digitaler Technologien mit Video, VR und AR, Installation, Sound, 3D-Animation, Druck und mit Schwerpunkt auf Posthumanismus und feministischer Praxis arbeitet.
In ihren künstlerischen Statements deckt sie ein breites Themenspektrum ab: von geopolitischen Situationen und Machtverhältnissen bis hin zu rein intimen Lebensbereichen. Ihre Arbeit thematisiert Gewalt und Geschlechtsidentität, die Stellung der Frau im künstlerischen und gesellschaftlichen Kontext.
Geboren 1995, verfolgte Sie von 2017 bis 2020 ein Studium an der Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts. Manankina war Finalistin des vom ukrainischen Institut unterstützten Kulturaustauschprogramms Exter. Ebenfalls war sie Stipendiatin des Gaude Polonia-Programms 2021 des Polnischen Nationalen Kulturzentrums und nahm an der 19. Media Art Biennale WRO 2021 in Breslau, Polen, teil. Sie arbeitete an gemeinsamen Projekten mit der Kuratorengruppe der Städtischen Galerie in Charkiw. Manankina hat mit Institutionen in der Slowakei, Deutschland, Österreich, der Ukraine, Polen und Litauen zusammengearbeitet.
Der Jour Fixe wird in Raum 103/104, Villa, Campus Design, Neuwerk 7, um 18 Uhr in englischer Sprache stattfinden.
